Son of George Henry and Anne Robinson, of West Bowling, Bradford, Yorkshire; husband of Alice Robinson, of Botchergate, Carlisle. (Eldest of 10 – 9 siblings – 2 died in infancy). His brothers, Joseph (d 23/12/1943 Navy in the English Channel – Mentioned in Dispatches twice) and John Thomas Robinson (d 1944), also died on service (India, Burma).
