Family Background:
Parents were Frederick Field (1873-1958) and Jean Weatherhead (1877-1937). Frederick was born in Westminster, London, and Jean was born in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. In 1939 Frederick was a Paper Warehouseman (retired).
He was one of three children. Frederick (Junior) was born in Oxfordshire and George and Margaret were born in Carlisle. His sister Helen Mgt died unmarried in 1958.
His brother George died in 1943, in the Royal Artillery, he’d been married less than a year. His wife gave birth to a posthumous daughter in late 1943. She was named Alder. She married Joseph Richardson in 1968.
Frederick married in 1938, Mary Delicia Fox, Mary gave birth to a posthumous son in early 1943. He was called Richard Humphrey. Mary was the executor for her sister in law Helen. Mary & Richard emigrated to Australia in 1952. They settled in Western Australia.
