It was a night raid to an industrial area close to Venice. 9 aircraft returned safely. One crash landed safely at Bexhill. Unfortunately, John&#8217;s aeroplane crashed on the way back near Beachy Head, Eastbourne. The cause of the accident was obscure as the weather was fine with a cloud level of 2000 feet.
