In October each year, just before half term, all Year 11 students go out on a week's work experience, for a taste of the world of work. It has always been tremendously successful, and Trinity School prides itself on finding appropriate placements for some 300 students (possibly one of the largest year groups in Britain) in a small city like Carlisle. Students thoroughly enjoy the experience and get great references from their placements. Some students are offered summer employment, or even future permanent employment. The whole experience is very positive and great preparation for the future.
We are now also arranging day release work placements for a small group of students, under the Every Child Matters banner, to ensure that an appropriate curriculum is available to every student. This has led in some cases to training placements and some employment.
