Sara's Artist Statement
My art is a statement of quite of few different things but my exam final piece is a metaphor for not judging a book by it's cover. All the different objects within 'The Box' symbolise different things, like how everything will eventually catch up with you so keep on top of things, and another is that we don't have free will but how we are are really confined to laws and rules, which isn't really free will.
Most of my work symbolises everyday situations and lessons that we as humans learn.

I chose these artist's as they are both reflected in my mock exam's final outcome and in my exam's final outcome.
Titarenko's style is echoed in my mock piece through my photographs, and Hockney's style is shown in my exam piece through my photography where I have edited the colour to follow Hockney's bold choice in colours.
