11Y1 and 11Y2 Science coursework
The students in 11Y1 and 11Y2 who should be preparing further Science in the News coursework for both Chemistry & Physics should have collected their tasks by now from Dr Barker & Mr Barker.
Over half term, they need to be preparing their reports. The report for Chemistry will be written after School on Monday 22 February and Tuesday 23 February. The report for Physics will be written after school on Monday 1 March and Tuesday 2 March. Successful completion of this coursework will be a key factor in success in the GCSE Chemistry and GCSE Physics exams.
Teachers will continue to be available for general help after school.

All entries have now been e-mailed to the Aerie International organisers at Big Sky High School, Montana USA. Good luck to all those who entered, the standard of the entries were very high this year. Lorilee Evans-Lynn has contacted us
with the comment "I love the work I've seen from England! Beautiful!". They are now processing the 200 entries they have received from the UK and all round the world and we hope to hear back from America during the Summer Term.
Badminton
Trinity Schools' key stage 3 girls (Years 7, 8 and 9) Badminton team competed in the Center Parcs National Schools Championships on Monday 1 March at Leigh Sports Village. Trinity School were representing Cumbria at the this regional event.
Trinity were undefeated, winning all four games. They will now go on to represent the North West in the National finals' in Sherwood Forest, Nottingham, on Saturday 24 April 2010.

Request for Support
A group of Trinity staff and 6th form students are visiting Uganda next July to complete projects in a boarding school. Although this will be an amazing experience and hugely rewarding for those who go, the area where they will be working is an area of poverty and where Aids and minimal quality of life are very apparent.
We hope parents and carers will support the school with this very worthwhile project.
